I now have this mental image of Cyantian cubs having to be weaned off holding their tail much like some humans need to be weaned off thumb sucking/pacifiers/blankets.
During one of the UStream chat sessions, I asked Tiffany: “How many cyantians develop the habit of holding their tail when stressed out?”
Tiffany’s answer was: “The one’s with long tails!”
I don’t think it’s been mentioned yet (and if it has, updates 1184 and 1185 aren’t archived properly, for the moment) but the Jaguar girl’s name is Safari.
Yes, that did the trick. Which is strange, because the cache clears automatically every time I close Firefox. Anyhow, back to the comic!
If anyone were to object to the presence of the uninvited cubs at the festival, then black fox fireworks will ensue. Could be fun!
I have the impression that they -might- be mistaken about needing to be invited. If they’re not, I wouldn’t be surprised if Darrik got in a little trouble.
You know, despite how common they’re supposed to be, we don’t see a lot of red foxes. But, then again, we only see so many foxes.
Also have cleared the cache, nothing between april and now. Cleared cache on 2 systems, formatted a third (not because of this), and discovered that on a fresh install where there is no cache… no pages! 🙁
Given that this day is referred to as “Cubs day”, I think we can be pretty sure that Biely and Safiri are mistaken. Though I could be wrong. You never know with Tiff writing the script.
Both 1184 and 1185 return the “No posts matching your criteria” error. Aso, on these two pages the navigational calendar on the right clams the last post at all was made in April.
At other pages the calendar does work, and even shows thumbnails of the “missing” pages.
Five different computers, half a dozen different browsers (some of them installed specifically to test), three different places in the world.
It appears that you have server-side WordPress SuperCache enabled. You might try resetting it somehow. If that won’t help, the database may be a bit broken.
Back to the topic… Something in Darrik’s look in the first panel makes him look a bit weird to me. No idea why, but somehow… maybe it’s the head protruding forward? The angle?
*sigh* Anyway I’m the only one who complains, so the problem’s probably me.
Rest of the page is Just(perfect * awesome)!
me and a few others had fun discussing this page and the previous one with Tiff on the whole tail pulling issue lol. But as KJ says if Tiff says it is or isn’t, then that is the truth on the situation. Her world, her rules. lol
For whatever reason I couldn’t see the pages yesterday and today I can.
On a different note: Darrik’s smirk just made my day!

And again, great expression on Darrik, there. It made me grin.

You’re right, this whole page is like a Great Darrik Expression Page. Or, hey! We could call it a GDEP!
…
Or, you know, not. Just saying…
^_^
SpamDragon
yep, love the smirk.
We get to see some of the original Darrik personality I think!

Hey is that a mini gryff on the wall there? I love it’s calico look ^^
Wasn’t Darrik tail more foxlike before? these last few comics his tail is more cat like….or am I mistaken?
I’m starting to like that jaguar girl more and more, just adorable the way she keeps huggin her tail so defensively =p
SpamDragon
his fur is still growing back from his colour change

I am pretty amused lol.

Tail hugging ^__^
Too bad as a bear that’s not possible.. but that Jag girl is just too cute.
And nice to see that darrik has regained some spirit.

Phew… Glad that was fixed. Was scared something went seriously wrong for you guys.
Tiff
It’s Safiri actually. And those pages are fine. You need to clear your cache.

When I go to http://cyantian.net/?p=1185 I get “Sorry, no posts matched your criteria.” There’s no “Next” link on http://cyantian.net/?p=1082 either. Something’s broken!

I cleared my cache and I still can’t see any pages between this one and April. O.o Am I doing something wrong?
Wolfgang
I still can’t see the pages still.
KJ Fellie
Huh, the page was working for me yesterday, but now I can’t see the one before this one, even after I cleared my cache. Weird.
keleighfmky
i cleared the cache but still can’t see the past 3 comics!!! just so you know

No problems seeing any pages so far – using Firefox 3.5.2 on Win XP Pro and Vista Business. Didn’t even have to clear my cache on either system.

Cache cleared and pages reappeared.

Very nice here. Although, IMHO, I think Safari is holding her tail because Darrik grabbed it just ‘moments’ ago.
hariman
Actually, the Jaguar girl’s name is Safiri.

Well, Tom, that may have something to do with it, but if Tiff says something is, it is, because she is the author, after all. 😀
