WOW… she is trying to impress them?? Jeje π We, here say “presumida” but I don’t know the correct english word (could be “poseur” or “presumed”?) Whatever, probably the rest will have to rescue her π
Hrmm… This might be an odd question, but one I’ve yet to find an answer to: How fast does Quinn move in flight? It seems decently quick here, but I find myself curious as to her fastest speed.
Strangely, I’ve never really thought about it because Quinn so rarely just FLIES. But she doesn’t just fly. She also teleports and it’s fast. Mach 1 is 768 mph, the speed of sound. She can’t fly that fast. I’m going to say that she can fly at 300 mph (as an adult, I’ll say probably only 150 right now), but speed is irrelevant when she can cross as far as she can see in the blink of an eye.
Woah O.o showoff =P Now let me guess, the green eyed guy is going to capture them and Quinn is going to ninja the green eyed thingy? Lol, wonder what the demon horse will do =)
I though Darrik was a fox! So, why is his tail more reminiscent of a cougar? Sorry, but it’s just been bugging me for the past few days when I think about it.
Ben, remember that Darrik’s fur colour change resulted in him losing all his fur – it’s still growing back, hence his tail’s lack of typical vulpine fluffiness. π
Jashiat: Not everything that pops up out of the blue, or the shadows in this case, is going to be a bad thing. This could be an old feral friend of Silver’s, another nosey type who wants to see the demon horse, or even mounty security making sure the cubs are safe.
I also suspect that Ninjas (and pirates, for that matter) would have a healthy respect for Quinn. Although I do wonder how she deals with wind friction when she flies at 100+ miles an hour. Not to mention how it’s gotta mess up her hair!
At first, I thought Quinn was warping space to make herself invisable like wrapping herself in a mirror cloak, but once i read Tiff’s comment, it was actualy her speed.
She can phase through solid matter – I imagine she can limit interaction with the air so that she only experiances as much, or as little, wind and friction as she wants to.
I hadn’t thought of her phasing ability. My personal theories were either a conveniently stashed pair of goggles or instinctive telekinesis that protects her eyes.
Fancy Pants: Actually, there are superpowers referred to as “Required Secondary Powers” that would be necessary for certain superpowers to actually work. A way to protect your eyes from wind friction in flight is one of them.
Now THAT is a useful page. π
Quinn can pass through objects at will, which kind of requires flight to avoid falling through things. BTW… Collin has the same abilities as Quinn, he just doesn’t show them off and actually resists using them. Quinn can pass into a secondary dimension, which Collin cannot. But he has a stronger dream walk than she does.

There goes their protection.

Okay, this confirms it. There was no sound, therefor, Quin is a ninja.

Gmwolf: I’d say “Show-off” is a better translation of presumida, at least when applied to Quinn. Unrepentant showoff.
But then again, she’s on a mission to find the demon horse so that they can see it before it vanishes again.

I have this sudden image of Quinn doing a Snoopy and the Red Baron reenactment. π

You don’t have to think about it, just tell everyone she flies at the speed of the plot when she isn’t teleporting. π

Thanks for the translation Hariman π Google doesn’t know everything.

Whats better than a super power? Having another that compliments your first.

A comprehensive list can be found here:

And linked within the name/link thingy that I almost never use.
