Why do I feel like Vincent’s trust and confidence in Filaire is about to take a serious nose-dive?

You mean like when he finds out where all those gems came from?

Yes. 🙁 I am actually pretty disappointed in Filaire myself. (Big fan.) Of course, I -could- be wrong, but there have been several hints that make me think this way.
